levi mcgrath
'There are two types of geniuses in the world: there are those that leave you awestruck but feeling insignificant beside them; on the other hand, there are those that shine beside you and leave you shone upon too. You feel a little better, a little taller and a little wiser beside them. Levi McGrath belongs to the latter one.' Read More Reviews & Endorsements BIO Born in 1986 in regional Victoria, Levi grew up as the son of an itinerant preacher and began writing songs from age 12. He fronted several bands, both within and outside the world of the church, then was offered a place in a Bachelor of Music at Lismore NSW’s Southern Cross University, majoring in contemporary song-writing. Levi's lyrics portray stories and perspectives of modern life, drawing from a well of personal experiences. Levi's honest and straightforward music provides the basis for people to relate and seek out truth and purpose in their own lives. 'My target is lives,' he enthuses, 'I want for my music to impact people's hearts and change people's lives. I want to be a voice of challenge to inspire people to open up their hearts to a bigger world.' Levi signed with non-profit label Small House Records in June 2006 and released his debut album, 'Move' in August 2007. 'Move' has sold over 1500 units since its release and has garnered over 100 radio interviews, national television appearances, feature articles and community radio airplay on over 300 stations nationwide, including several syndicated national programs. 2008 saw Levi touring nationally for six months, followed with a Buzz Grant-funded USA tour to be mentored by Rebuilt Records' artist Paul Reeves. In December Levi returned to Uganda for five months with World Vision to work with ex-child soldiers.
